For those of us that live in or near Chicago, Restaurant Week is a huge deal. Its when we get to go to several of the areas best restaurants and treat ourselves to some amazing food for a fraction of the typical cost. This year, Chicago Restaurant Week, produced by the Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau (CCTB) is going to take place from February 18-27. For ten days, over 200 restaurants will offer special prix fixe menus starting at $22 for lunch and $33/$44 for dinner. I know I'll be taking the Sulpice Chocolat team out for dinner that week!
"A showcase of Chicago’s finest culinary talents, Restaurant Week 2011 will remind diners why the Michelin Guide, Saveur and more consider Chicago “America’s new culinary star.” And it wouldn’t be a true celebration without bubbles. This year, Chicago Restaurant Week will feature the Champagne Firstpromotion. Diners can change an expected dining experience into an extraordinary one by starting the meal with champagne at several participating restaurants, including Geja’s Café, Keefer’s, NAHA , One Sixty Blue, Trattoria Isabella and Zealous."
For more information visit the Choose Chicago website or for a full list of the participating restaurants visit OpenTable! I was really excited as soon as I found out that they had already posted a list of participating restaurants. Don't forget that reservations fill up fast.
