Chai Hot Chocolate
There is a huge difference between hot chocolate and hot cocoa and if you've never tried it before now is a great time to start. You just can't beat the natural smooth texture and rich taste of how chocolate made from scratch. In this recipe we wanted to combine two of our favorite flavors to make the perfect cup: milk chocolate and chai spices. To make this recipe even simpler, we used our Sulpice™ Chocolate Chai bar. It has the perfect balance of chai spices and milk chocolate.
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup half-and-half
- 1 Sulpice™ Chocolate Chai bar, chopped
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- vanilla beans or cinnamon sticks, for garnish
- whipped cream
Bring the milk and half-and-half to simmering. Remove the pan from the heat and add the chopped chocolate. When the chocolate is melted vanilla extract and whisk vigorously. For an extra touch, use a vanilla bean or cinnamon stick as a garnish. Serve immediately with a dollop of whipped cream. This is a treat the entire family will enjoy!
